Are we in Nevada or Louisiana?

It's so easy to get confused now a day, but i'm pretty sure we only drive for about 6 hours and not 26 so it must be Las Vegas. Why are we so confused?

Well if you look to the right you might notice what looks like a beautiful New Orleans street but in reality it's The Orleans hotel and casino.

While not one of jason's favorite's in Las Vegas (he'd prefer the Venitian, Bellagio, or the Wynn) it does have it's own charms.

In fact, it also has trumpet playing alligators!!!

Now how many of you have been able to hang out with trumpet playing alligators? Or better yet, a bass playing one!!

Overall it's been a nice first day. BK had practice at a local park, a little chilly at 54 degree's outside, I guess we didn't need to pack a couple extra pair of shorts afterall.

We drove down in the devil-mobile, decorated by us all before we fled from salt lake. I think we are the only people who decorated the car, I just don't think these people have gotten into the spirit of this whole thing.

Well that's all for now, don't forget to check back tomorrow to see where we are...you never know.

I can't believe there is a cheer competition in Vegas on Superbowl weekend. That has to double the traffic and the cost of accomodations! But then again maybe it was planned that way for the parents to get the best of both worlds!

You can't believe it!!! It's not just superbowl weekend, it starts at 2:00 Sunday and ends at 9:00 PM Sunday. These 'cheer' organization is obviously anti superbowl.
